Welcome to Hudson Museum Management
Karen Hudson, Proprieter.

Karen Hudson founded Hudson Museum Management after almost 20 years managing private and museum art collections across the United States. She began her museum career analyzing effective communication methods in children's art education for her Master's thesis at the University of Chicago. As Managing Director of a private foundation and art collection, Karen's projects included management of two private art galleries, publications, a repatriated international gift of antiquities, and collaborations with important international institutions, artists, and scholars. As Registrar and Collections Manager in both historical and fine arts collections, Karen developed expertise with a diverse range of objects, including international textiles and costume, Colonial American furniture, Native American basketry and ceramics, archaeological artifacts, folk art, and a variety of works on paper. Karen specializes in the architecture of museum collection databases, digital photography of all types of museum artifacts, and a broad range of project management. Whatever your needs, Hudson Museum Management partners with you to structure and implement an individualized plan of action to achieve your goals.

“In my capacity as President of CFAR, as well as serving in the same role at the Cotsen Foundation for the Art of Teaching, I had the serious privilege of watching Karen’s work on a daily basis, and at an intense level of detail. She was always a smartly creative, detail focused and highly responsible professional, with exquisite aesthetic taste, experience in a wide range of museum archival and cataloging tasks, and a generous supportive colleague.”
